The Chalet
This beautiful family chalet is ideal for winter and summer holidays. Located in Chesieres, 2km from Villars, Chalet L’eau Vive is situated in a quiet sunny, elevated south facing position with stunning views of the Swiss Alps
Villars is the home of the world famous Aiglon College and has been a place to visit by tourist and skiers since the 1930’s
Ideal for families, Close to Montreux (20 minutes by car) and Lausanne (40 minutes by car)for shopping and festivals. Evian, Aosta, Milan.
Close to other fine well known resorts such as Verbier (45 minutes by car) and Chamonix (About an hour by car) and other gems in
between such as Argentiere and Vallorcine.

With over 200km of piests covering three valleys Villars has a very varied ski area, offering something for everyone from snow parks / trails for children (free for children under 9), to trails for skilled skiers, not to mention the magnificent snow park on the Chaux-Ronde trail for snowboarders. If you still want to ski then the Glacier at Les Diabrelts offers skiing, husky rides, spectacular views and the highest roller coaster in the world at 3000m!!

Activities
Culture:
For those that want to discover more about Switzerland’s heritage there are numerous Castles(Chateau) and Churches to visit and with Ollon is in the middle of wine producing area of Switzerland there are some excellent wine trails to discover. With botanical gardens, museums, Abbey’s and military fortifications there is lots to discover about this fascinating country. Also throughout the year there arevarious festivals in Montreux including the world famous Jazz and film festivals.
Weather not so good:
Villars and the surrounding area offers the visitor various activities when the weather is not that great including bowling, ice skating, indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, thermal pools at Lavey-les-Baines, spas, Salt mines of Bex, the underground lake at Sion and Fun Land to mention but a few. Also in Montreux there is a cinema and theatre.
Apres Ski Restaurant / Bars:
Once the day is over Villars offers international cuisine along with trendy bars and clubs. Most of the restaurants are family friendly especially Le Francis (pizzas, crapes, steaks), Vaux Villars (Chinese and traditional swiss dishes) and Le Sporting. Bars include Charlie’s Bar and the Moon Boot Lounge and for those that want to party into the small hours El Gringo is the place to be. All these venues are within 20 mins walking distance from the Chalet
Family Activities:
Within easy distance of the Chalet there are numerous activities for the whole family including Mini golf, Aqua (water)Parc, Parc Adventure (zip wire), Fun Planet (including go karting), Steam (train) Park, Salt mines at Bex, The Grande Dixence, (the world's highest gravity dam), the world's largest natural underground lake, Lac Souterrain de St-Léonard. There are also numerous outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts. Finally at trip Lake Geneva is recommended where there are numerous activities including hiring paddle boats.
